Powerplant started with a simple desire: to grow food I'd be proud to feed my own family.
At first, it was just one tray, one grow light, and a belief that fresh food should actually be fresh. But as I thought more about the kind of food I wanted in my own home — the kind of vegetables I wanted my son to grow up eating — that small beginning turned into something much bigger.
As a husband and new father, Powerplant became deeply personal. I wanted to build something that could help support my wife being home with our first son, while also creating something meaningful for the families around us. This business is rooted in my family, but it's grown with yours in mind.
We do things differently because I know what it feels like to care about what goes on your plate. I know the desire to feed your family food that's clean, fresh, nutrient-packed, and grown with honesty. Our greens aren't shipped across the country or left sitting for days before they reach you — they're grown locally, harvested at their peak, and delivered while they're still full of life, flavor, and nutrients.
Every tray we grow carries that purpose. It's food I'd trust for my wife. Food I'd be proud to feed my son. And food your family can feel good about bringing to the table.
